Sand hydras are large beasts native to the deserts of Ibaya. They typically have two heads, though some individuals (particularly ones born closest to the Scorched Lands) have been known to grow up to five. Sand hydras are ambush predators who lie in wait in quicksand or at the foot of dunes, waiting to catch their prey unaware. If their target does not perish in the initial assault, sand hydras typically retreat — unless hunger prevails.
