Summary

The Century War, so-called because it dragged on for more than a hundred years, was a series of brutal battles between the elf populations of Irkasy and Targues and the combined human and dwarven armies of the same. Tensions had long brewed between these populations before the war began, but the assassination of several human and dwarven dignitaries by the drow assassin Thalra Illykun is believed to have tipped the scales towards war. 

Though more than five centuries have passed since the end of the Century War, it remains a scar on the conscience of Aghera's people. Entire communities were destroyed, and with them precious history and culture. The brutality demonstrated by the participants has contributed to a distrust and hatred which lingers to this day, and which few have taken strides to remediate.
