Davshad was a Human adventurer and king and was the great-grandson of Abuleth. He is seen as the originator of the House of Davshad. His most notable achievement was his founding of the city of Nemish and ruling it as its first Pharaoh. Though his birth name was Davshad and he has been remembered by history as Davshad, during his reign as Pharaoh he took the regnal name of Deshmesses, which translates literally to "Deshen is the one who gave birth to him," though by meaning it more accurately meant "descendant of Deshen." He used the name Deshmesses for the remainder of his life and remains the only Pharaoh to have gone by this name.
Foundation of Nemish
In Davshad's day, the spirits Pas'rab and D'shent feuded with one another, causing desertification and random devastating flooding. Davshad, through either might, wiles, charm, or persuasion (tellings vary wildly) convinced them to stop the feud by way of a marriage pact. Davshad married both spirits, the Pashyr began its regular floods which grant the region is bounty, and the D'shenti Desert ceased its expansion, allowing its people to live in peace. Davshad had two children, one by each spirit, and married them together to unite the blood.
