Dasurkat is an ancient and culturally significant country located in northwestern Yekare.
Etymology
Dasurkat is a combination of the words "Dasur" and "Kat" which mean "Holy" and "Land," respectfully. This name is reference to the divine lineage of the line of Pharaohs.
Government
Dasurkat has been governed as an absolute monarchy by the Pharaohs for several centuries since the ascendency of Davshad in III 42. The title "Pharaoh" means "Lord of the Palace and Temple," referencing the Pharaoh's dual political and religious role. Since Pelegonic conquest, the title of Pharaoh has been occupied by the Shahanshah, though the old dynasty holds the title of Phanaoh, meaning Prince, and oversees practically all of the traditional Pharaonic duties.
The throne room of Dasurkat has two thrones. One for the Pharaoh and one which was traditionally reserved for the heir. In the modern day, the Pharaoh’s throne remains empty save for when the Shahanshah visits Nemish, while the smaller throne is the seat of the Phanaoh.
Dasurkat did not even have a semi-feudal system before the conquest and as such most of the houses of Dasurkat, excepting the dynasty of Davshad, were formally created following the Pelegonic Conquest, excepting the other royal Nemishite houses which had ruled other kingdoms before the conquest.
There is no knighthood in Dasurkat, as they had no concepts of knighthood before the conquest.
