Built on the eponymous Deadmont, Deadhill is the largest city in the Motherlands and one of the oldest as its ancient crumbling aqueducts attest. Its size, wealth, and natural impenetrability have made it a major power in the Riverlands.
Deadhill was founded by Orthos of the Deadmont, the founder and first king of House Orthed. Over the millennia of the Fourth Age, the city passed between various dynasties and houses. Deadhill was reclaimed by Queen Olyvia IX Orthed one hundred years before the Pelegonic Conquest.
