On the southeastern coast of the Shadowfell lies the ancient and mysterious port city of Pashayos. It is a city of magic, wonder, mystery, and the enigmatic Veiled Ones. 

The origin of the city is unknown. It is believed to have been constructed after the Great Flood, though some scholars suggest that it is actually older and may even predate Kardunash as the world's oldest continuously inhabited settlement. To those who come to the Shadowfell, Pashayos is the safest and usually only destination. Great wonders flow from their gates. Ancient Mannic smithing, crafting, and magic rites are kept preserved only by the Pashayosi and this makes the city a source of some of the world's finest weapons and tools. 

It is known that the Veiled Ones worship a god called Sothon the Radiant. They are described as a lord with white hair and blue eyes who came from the east and either founded the city or helped its people in some great tumultuous event.

Every ten years, the city's mysterious ruler, known only as the Veiled Lady, sends ships to various trading ports around the world to trade for goods. The ships remain at their chosen port for thirty days and then return to Pashayos.
