Mernelian

The Mernelians are the natives of the Mernel Mountains. The Mernelians inhabit the interior of the mountains, having carved great tunnels and large cities into them. The vast majority of Mernelians are Mountain Dwarf. Mernelians are relative newcomers to the stage of global prominence. It was under the recent ruler Datula the Conqueror that they ventured out from their mountains to widen their realm, though this was short-lived due to the Pelegonic Conquest. Nonetheless, the Mernelians are now strongly tied to the rest of the continent through politics and trade, though they often remain reclusive regardless. Mernelians are known for their elaborate braids, tattoos, and penchant for bronze and steel jewelry.
