House Arcanos of the Arcanhold is a noble house sworn to House Odios Pelegon. Before the rise of Pelegon, House Arcanos ruled the region surrounding Lake Arcanos from the Arcanhold. After their subjugation by Pelegon I, they became one of the Empire's closest vassals. Members of House Arcanos tend to have flowing brown hair. Due to their closeness to the House Imperial, the two houses have frequently intermarried, and many members of House Arcanos possess Purple Eyes due to their heritage to the House Imperial.
House Arcanos claims descent from the legendary king Atwur Ali Zhad through his bastard son Arcanos of the Lake.
As of present, four Shahanshah-consorts have come from House Arcanos, the most of any other house.
House Arcanos has a longstanding feud with House Mannos, dating back to the times when they were neighboring monarchs before the Pelegonic Conquest. Enmity between the two houses has increased since the Conquest, as House Arcanos converted to the Pelegonic Faith while House Mannos continues to observe their ancient Deshenite cult.
