The Death Dance is a sword fighting style which originated in the Ba'hram Desert. It is characterized by its fluid style. Those who utilize the style rely on good footwork, speed, tenacity, dexterity, and reflexes to dodge and weave while making several slashes against their foes. The Dance emulates the swirling sands blown by the desert winds.

Though the Dance originated in the deep desert, it spread through caravans to become prominent among the Notoshi and Byori people as well.

The Death Dance is usually used by wielders of relatively light blades, such as scimitars, shortswords, knives, and the khopesh. However, some practitioners have been known to apply it to heavier weapons like spearblades, glaives, and even longswords. That said, the flowing nature of the Dance lends itself better to curved blades.

Among the Byori, the Death Dance has special significance as a swordstyle employed while wielding the culturally significant Miezi blades.
