Kleon the Great was an ancient Kardunashi adventurer, hero, and warlord who is credited with subjugating the Bay of Kleon and adding it to the domain of the Kardunashi Sea Empire. Most of his deeds have been shrouded in the fog of legend and history, though records attest that he was a major officer in the army of Quarta I and led forays into Yekari lands, including the conquest of the city Mashoy, which was subsequently renamed Larepios and given to Kleon to govern. 

House Acaron claimed ancestry from Kleon, though this claim remained unsubstantiated upon their extinction.

According to Kaduir legend, Kleon won lordship over the city of Mashoy from its lord, Ars'hak, in a game of Chess.
