The Fertile Crescent is a common name given to the westernmost portion of the Ba'hram Desert. The Fertile Crescent, despite its name, is still incredibly arid and dry. However, it differs from the Dune Sea as the sands are thinner and the ground rockier, making the land more “fertile” for permanent settlements. Very little grows in the Fertile Crescent compared to other regions of Yekare, but there are multiple species of palm tree, many spice plants, and many types of bushes which grow in this region.
The Crescent is sometimes called Med’nyland, as the majority of the Med'ny live in the crescent and there are no Badawi tribes in the region. However, this characterization is challenged by some scholars, as there are also Med’ny cities in the Dune Sea.
