House Sayn of the Sacred Vale is a noble house in the Motherlands. The Sayns are lords of what the Empire calls the Eastern Marches, a region which encompasses the valley below the southeastern terminus of the Morktan Mountains and the Mother's Mountain in particular.
House Sayn was named Lords of the Sacred Vale following the Mother's Crusade. They are tasked with maintaining and protecting the sacred lands around the Mother's Mountain. Before the Crusade, the Sayns were a minor house of landed knights, governing a small keep near Deadhill. They relinquished the small keep for Godsguard when they became Lords.
