Naniom Bridge is an ancient Khuzan bridge that span over the river Nephen, located on the northern frontier of the kingdom of Kaldor. It straddles the boundary between the northern wilds of Nephshire and Vemionshire, deep in the forests that lie between the civilized lands of the realm and the Sorkin Mountains. As the only bridge over the Nephen River until Ternua far to the south, Naniom Bridge is the primary link between Kaldor and the Dwarven kingdom of Azadmere, carrying the Silver Way and its lucrative trade.
A very old stone bridge over the Nephen River being the last safe stop on the Silver Way to Zerhun and Azadmere. The original bridge may be of Khuzan origin, although the central stone tower is more recent. The bridge is claimed by Kaldor but the king’s control over it is tenuous. Naniom Bridge is often used by the local nobility as a field of honor. Travel beyond Naniom Bridge by cart is impractical so goods are transhipped here to mule trains.
