Azadmere once had a barony, Axxon, south of the Nephen River, but it was abandoned in 142 after years of repeated Gargun attacks. King Hazmadul III considers restoration of Axxon as critical to reducing Azadmere’s need to import grain. He has said he will grant the fief to whoever can recapture the Fana mines, then clear and hold the surface land for seven productive years.
