LONG REST

NOLUS 9

  • The party travels all day, raining off and on.
  • Arrive at next campsite, settle in.
  • Ilviran pilgrims arrive, ask if they can share the campsite. The party allows them. Hjalgrimm breaks out the keg of ale and shares around (they consume half).
  • Hjalgrimm uses Lay on Hands to cure the infection setting in on the shin of one of the pilgrims. They all become more comfortable with the party.
  • The party asks about Tashal, learns that the pilgrims just stay at the Ilviran temple there, as it is expensive in Tashal, and sometime dangerous. They ask about Lake Myen and learn that Hedryn, Corza, and Garmon all know of it. They move past it quickly as there are weird creatures in the area. Garmon tells about the Perytons, their shadows, and how they take humanoid hearts.
  • Corza tells them that she has heard the Perytons nest atop the Devil's Thumb. Hjalgrimm asks if that is the same as Moloch's Thumb, but none of them have heard of that. He explains that Moloch is one of the V'hir, and therefore a devil.
  • They play music and sing, then turn in.
  • The pilgrims leave in the morning, thanking the party for their hospitality.

LONG REST

NOLUS 10

  • The party head off west from Genin Trail, trying to find the headwaters of Shomos River. Around mid-afternoon the climb up from a valley to a hilltop ridge. Rook spies the river to the south. As they head in that direction they encounter the Pagaelin path leading north from the headwaters. They follow it south to the river, but do not cross the river as the path does. The party follows the river on the north side. They enter the woods and the river turns north.
  • It is nearing dusk as they exit the woods. Across the river they can see a stream entering the river from the south.
  • Just then they hear a crashing noise to their right. Rook, Askelon, and Weyliri spin to face the threat, but the rest are caught flat-footed. Three large Boars are charging at the party…

8 NOLUS (June) SUMMER, 721 TR
Session 28 Ilvir Pilgrims and Leaving the Trail
We start the session wrapping up the Laranian knights, Askelon dispatches Ser Karlac before we can interview him and states that we can interview him after he's dead. Once his face has been revealed we all recognize him from the kings feast.

As we are collecting the items from the bodies Faelon asks me about the magic that I have done. I give him a half truth and he sees right through my lie. When my back is turned he steals one of my throwing knives thinking it is one of the daggers that I was using during the fight. He approaches me and asks about me using daggers. I show him my bracers as well as my kriss daggers. I notice that he has a sort of recognization with the black cat and eyes motif.

We gather up the stuff from their bodies, collecting 63 gold, 33 silver, a war horse and two riding horses, 3 potions of healing, a bunch of weapons and armor. We load it up on the horses that we took and set the house ablaze as we head off away from the house we make camp far enough away from it that we cannot see the glow from the fire. As we sit by the camp, I pull out my ocarina and play a tune (rolling an 18) The tune comes out great. Askelon gets another message from his uncle asking us if we are alright.

Long rest

We wake up without issue and head on down the road heading north towards our destination of the second of three campsites. We get to this next campsite and begin setting up camp. About an hour after setting up camp a group of commoners approach the camp. There are three among them that are different from the rest. The pilgrims are on the way to Araka-Kalai (Which is the lace on this planet where the god Ilvir is believed to live. It is on the other side of the felsha mountains, it is known that pilgrims travel the fur road north from tashal to get there).

The bald man is named Gamon of Leriel and he is a priest of ilvir. The blonde woman introduces herself as Hedryn of clan grunfjord and the halfling introduces herself as corza proudcrest, they are both rangers.  One of the pilgrims has an infected leg, Hjalgrimm walks over and uses his lay on hands to cure the disease and provide some healing.

Long rest.

Nothing happens overnight and we wake up well rested and the pilgrims head off north.

We start heading west off the Genin trail and heading in search of the shomos river. We find the shomos river and decide to take the northern part of the river and start following it. We make some extra loud noise and end up on the other end of an ambush by three large black creatures.
