Located on the outskirts of town, Monster Joe’s junkyard is surrounded by a thick mist that hangs on the wrecked vehicles like a spectral pall, while the smell of burnt oil and rusting metal contributes to the oppressive atmosphere. Among piles of stacked wreckage stands an old rusty crane, its claw hanging like a sinister omen of doom.
Access to the junkyard is barred by an equally rusty metal fence with a large sign saying “Beware of the Dog” referring to the monstrous hound Joe, kept by the junkyard owner’s to ensure nobody sneaks onto his property.
