Lore
A dour warhost descends upon the lands of Thyria, golden lightning flashing in their wake and rumbling thunder in echo announcing their arrival. Dawnbreakers, so named for their blackened armour and golden crowns, bound in drapes of sunrise blues, march to strike corruption, wherever it bares its foul fangs, with merciless rancor. At the head of the host, the dark-scaled rumbling wings of the Draconith An-Zashra, gleaming with sanctified gilding, her once-shattered form now a rallying locus of Sigmar's immortal warriors who refuse their final end.
While the most ancient warriors of the Stormhosts dwell within the gloomful Bleak Citadels and strike out where others dare not tread, bringing ruination to the foul and the corrupted, awaiting their final death, there are those who are dissatisfied with the thought of their righteous warpath coming to an end. These inexorable hearts heed the reveberating call of An-Zashra, wandering then towards the aerie of the Dawnbreakers, where their unquenchable desire to sunder that which would threaten order, may be slaked for just a little longer. Their souls ground nigh on to the very essence of lightning, their minds rent from even the slightest ideation of humanity, they venture to make their case before the Draconith's stern gaze. These scourged pilgrims are once more infused with a modicum of lucidity, borne of a great amalgamation of long-lost Stormcast souls. Although, while their desire to smite all that is vile is allowed satisfaction, there is a cost to such a venture. As even this furthering of their existence sputters out, whatever remains of their spirits is subsumed by the Draconith in an erasure of their souls, the power of which she uses to fuel further reprieve for those who come after them. It is only those who dutifully accept this doom who march aside the remorseless Dawnbreaker host, the continuous salvation of the innocent purchased with their souls.

Talons of the Giltbearer
Azel Bleakshawl - A morose arcanist, Azel serves as the Draconith's right hand, providing wise council and steering the path of the host towards places most stricken with corruption. When he marches into battle at the side of the host, rumbling and blaze follow his path, merciless manifestations of the Winds, on to tear through the enemy's ranks.
Executor Arshah - Begrudgingly striking along the greater host in pitched battles, Arshah is a keen hunter, accompanied at all times by ferocious gryph-hounds, who aid him in tracking those marred by vile corruption. His rending arrows seek out the hearts of strategically important, yet oft vulnerable targets, leaving the Dawnbreakers' foes hapless as the thunder falls at the back of their ranks.
Giltseekers - These lightning-swift warriors rage forth upon their gryph-chargers through concealing rumbling clouds and mist, appearing suddenly at the enemy's flanks, tearing through unsuspecting infantry, leaving singed gore in their wake.
Dawnbreakers - The eponymous elite of the host. They strike with incomparable fury and might, crashing down wreathed in golden lightning, their gleaming hammers bearing unerringly upon the foe.
Thunderstalkers - Trackers and harriers, these skilled archers navigate the craggy and inaccessible terrain ahead of the host, reporting back with potential paths and expecting danger. Their whistling shots mark targets to be felled by the golden blades of the host's mighty warriors.
Protectors of the Right - Veteran warriors whose infusion has nearly sputtered out, they stand defiant in the face of overwhelming odds without flinching, enemy charges breaking upon their shields, the bones of their foes under their hammers.
Protectors of the Left - Novices who have proven themselves worthy in the eyes of the Draconith, they remain in reserve, their infusion yet not settled completely upon their souls.
