Vytautas Panin

Dead
Day's Will, The Renegade

The finding of a leader for the Dawn Heralds was not easy for the Torvil City Council. Many remembered how the last expedition leader, Marshal Lavr Odvazna, had died tragically when he was immonlated by Tzeentchian fiends. Not many felt like going on another expedition in a distant part of the Mortal Realms to meet a gruesome demise. All except one.

Vytautas has been known as a full-blooded Ghurian warrior. He is considered ´excentric´ by the people of Torvil for his unhealthy interest in Ghur's many predatory animals and how they work. His family is one of the main funders of the Amber College of the city and keep contacts with both the Darkling Covens and Order Serpentis to make the beasts even more ferocious through magic and breeding. Vytautas keeps many animals that are considered extremely dangerous in the hope they might once be tamed into steeds for both civil and military use. Vytautas himself is mainly focused on taming Snarlfangs to create ´Wolf-Cavaliers´, which up till now has costed months of effort and multiple unfortunate handlers losing the beasts out of their eye for a moment.

When Vytautas stept forward to lead this expedition as ´The Day's Will´, I must admit the sight made me want to disappear into Ulgu. Vytautas has not been known as an experienced commander who watches patiently to find an opponent's weakness. He rather dashes into the fray with his flying steed Razorfoot, leaving some other poor commander to hold the line. I pray to Sigmar we won't follow Lavr's fate.
