When The Dawn Heralds arrived to our base, we were welcomed by our allies from the similarly named Dawnbreakers, a host of Stormcast Eternals. War has already come to this land, and the stormhost were victorious in a siege of this strongpoint by a horde of ratmen. When we made inventory, the realization dawned on us how Pyrrhic this victory was.
The walls have been damaged at multiple places. The gate has been smashed beyond repair and many buildings have been burned down. The bridge to the city has also been destroyed by the defenders in the hope of delaying the attackers. What makes the damage worse is that most buildings are 'grown'. Jade wizards and Treelord Ancients shape the buildings here like a potter makes a pot out of clay. Reconstruction by human hands is arduous and time consuming. Most of the garrison has perished in the fighting, leaving us with mainly citizens.
Yet we as the Dawn Heralds are determined to renew this strongpoint to a fortress of the Free Peoples of Ghyran. The first act of our leader was to rename the strongpoint to Tornosk, after the Knight-Azyros who was reforged from a Nurglite warrior. This symbolizes the path of redemption for this city and that we too will bring light to the lands around us.
