Rokar, Maw of Winter

Frostlord

I am Rokar, Maw of Winter

“My father fed you once.”
“I will feed you forever.”

“Show me the biggest thing that still breathes — and it will not, for long.”

Rokar, Maw of Winter, is the son of the fallen Frostlord — and the living proof that hunger outlives death.

When his father fell, Rokar did not contest the right to lead with boasts or ritual. He walked alone to the shattered body of his sire’s Stonehorn, still slick with blood and frost, and mounted the beast without hesitation. Where another would have been crushed, Rokar held fast. When the Stonehorn rose beneath him, roaring into the storm, the Alfrostun understood: the lineage of hunger had not ended.

Rokar promised his kin one thing only — that they would never starve again.

Unlike his father, Rokar does not squander strength. He leads the Snow Eaters toward prey that matters: roaming behemoths, fortified hosts, creatures whose deaths echo across realms. He hunts not just with brute force, but with intent. When war brings him a worthy kill, he takes it. When words can buy him a greater feast, he listens.

Gold, tribute, secrets, even temporary alliances — all are acceptable currencies, so long as they lead him to a better hunt.

In Ghyran, Rokar is spoken of in whispers by those who survive: a warlord who does not slow, who does not waste, and whose hunger is colder than the Everwinter itself. Forests recoil at his passing. Life resists him — and is devoured all the same.

Winter follows Rokar not as a storm, but as a promise.
