Lysanthir had served prince Belkharis as long as anyone can remember: burly (for an aelf, anyway), practical and fond of finer things in life, few would have guessed that this man used to crack heads, stick knifes between ribs and generally act as a thug when he and his master first started in a world of commerce. But all that was in the past, Lysanthir thought.
His well-earned life of luxury as Belkharis's confidant was shattered by the Breaking of the Sun, and were he not shielded by the body of some cute young aelf he was busy with at the time, the vitrifying rays would have shattered the man himself. The ordeal left Lysanthir scarred both physically and emotionally (though he takes pains not to show it), and as such, he is not as fit for frontline action as he once was. His mind is still sharp, and his presence imposing, however, and so he was a logical choice to send along Belkharia on her 'maiden voyage'.
Lysanthir runs the day-to-day operations of the expedition, leveraging his experience he gained by crossing the realms with merchant caravans. He also makes sure to remind everyone that being here is a privilege, and that criticizing the command of Lady Belkharia will not be tolerated, as much as he himself privately chides at some of her more brash commands.
