From the secret diary of Malfrit Duskseeker (1)

Today, "our brave leader" convinced me that he needs my guidance to run his little clan. Scouts informed Queek that a small group of Ogres had hunted some animals corrupted by Warpstone. Queek decided to ambush them and steal the Warpstone for himself.

I positioned a group of Clan Mors warriors to guard my jezzails. I was hiding in the forest with my Rat Ogres and a Doomwheel, while Queek and his finest were on the other side of the ruins. The plan was to take it all and quickly retreat into the gnawholes.

But when the Ogres spotted the movement of our warriors, they climbed onto their warbeasts and attacked. They charged the group in the middle and devoured the clanrats along with the jezzails. Even my Bell of Doom could not save them.

I led the charge from the forest, where my Rat Ogres engaged two "smaller" Ogres. The Doomwheel reached full speed, heading to claim one of the Warpstone-tainted beasts. Queek dug a hole near the second one, but he wasn't fast enough to claim the prize. Instead, he merely destroyed some of the Ogres' "cutlery."

When the Ogres saw that we had taken their loot, they charged back toward their camp. Their impact was devastating. I channeled my powers and teleported toward the last of their "dinner"—and I don’t mean Queek and his warriors.

I grabbed it and tried to teleport back, but my stash of Warpstone was not as refined as Queek had claimed. It took four tries to teleport away. The Horned Rat must have been watching over me; the Ogre leader spotted me after defeating Queek and gave chase. Fortunately, Queek's gnaw-beast did not digest well, so the Ogre was only limping toward me rather than charging.

However, even after I teleported to our Warpstone crates, a small band of Ogres on beasts caught up to me. I had to abandon the animal and teleport once more into the tunnels. There, to my "great joy," I discovered that the only thing the Ogres managed to fully eat was Queek's gnaw-beast...
