Known also as the Horned Wanderer, Cernus was a strange entity that oversaw the fate and direction of the druids in the region. He was a reclusive figure, that appeared only during important rituals and events, such as the Blazing in Pinewood. Cernus was more of an observer than an active participant in any struggles, although he was known to offer advice and guidance to those that nature deemed worthy of such things.
Cernus would most often appear as branches of trees intertwining to take on the rough shape of a humanoid face during the ceremonies, that would be close by, but not in the center of attention. Nests of fiery red butterflies swarmed around him during the ceremonies of the Blazing, said to be his eyes and ears everywhere during the traditional celebrations.
It was customary for the female elder to reside with the Horned Wanderer during the celebrations, exchanging news of the land and of nature, and discussing the year to come for the druid circle.
During the Blazing of Briskwater Cernus appeared in a giant ancient oak tree in the Sunheart Park.
