Shepard is the only Magister of the Orlando Chantry. It is his role to manage the teachings of the apprentices below him and deal with lesser responsibilities so Lord Bracket doesn't. He is pretty jovial, but has high expectations and definitely shows the systemic bias toward men within the clan.
