Way of the Crippling Onslaught

Subclass

The Way of the Crippling Onslaught is learned mostly by those who feel limited in the peaceful traditions of some monk doctrines. Masters of the Crippling Onslaught conserve their energy through slow movements and release it in a torrent of heavy blows. Though, those of this tradition do not express their power through just a punch. The Crippling Onslaught combines methods of breaking their opponent physically through brutally ripping them apart.

Slow and steady wins the race, as the proverb of the Crippling Onslaught goes.

Tough Frame

When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with Intimidation. If you already have proficiency with Intimidation, double your proficiency bonus with that skill.

Also, your Unarmored Defense ability changes as follows: while you are wearing no armor and not wielding a shield, your AC equals 10 + your Strength modifier + your Wisdom modifier.

Imposing Strafe

At 3rd level, you learn how to conserve energy with slower steps and promptly let it out with your attacks or other methods. When you have moved up to half your movement on a turn, or have not yet moved, you may give up the rest of your movement. If you give up your remaining movement, you can spend ki points to do one of the following a turn. If an affect requires a saving throw, use your ki save DC.

Antagonize. You may spend 1 ki point and choose a creature within 30 ft. of you, yelling out antagonizing words towards the creature. The creature must succeed on a wisdom saving throw or use their reaction to move as far as their movement allows towards you. Also, you gain advantage on your next attack towards the creature (or both of your attacks when you use your Flurry of Blows)

Brutalize. When you hit a creature with an unarmed attack, you may spend 1 ki point and break a bone, rip out flesh, or tear the skin/material of the targeted creature. You deal an extra damage die equal to your martial arts die, except you choose whether it is bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing (if you have the Ki-Empowered Strikes monk feature, this counts as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage). Additionally, the target must succeed at a Constitution saving throw or have its speed reduced by 10 feet until the start of your next turn.

Traumatize. When you hit another creature with an unarmed attack, you may spend 1 ki point to mess with the psyche of the creature. The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be frightened until the end of your next turn.

Seizing Grapple

At 6th level, you can release your conserved energy to quickly take advantage of your opponents missed attack. As a reaction, when a creature misses an attack against you or an ally within 5 feet of you, you can attempt a grapple against the creature.

You may expend 2 ki points and reroll the grapple check. You may choose to do this after the grapple check is rolled, but before the outcome of the roll is determined.

Steadfast Stance

Starting at 11th level, if you have not moved on your turn, you may expend all of your movement and gain temporary hit points equal to your monk level. If you do this, you may not use an imposing strafe this turn.

Lasting Cripple

Starting at 17th level, when you hit another creature with an unarmed attack, you may spend 4 ki points and knock the creature prone. While prone in this way their speed is reduced to 0. At the end of the creatures turn, they can make a constitution saving throw against your ki save DC, if they fail, they take 4d8 bludgeoning, piercing or slashing damage (chosen by you). If they succeed, their speed is returned to normal, but they are still prone until they get up with half their movement.
