Alexander is in house arrest until his trial, so his half-brother and rival, Wellington Reis went to his mansion to explain what is happening, that the Red Hand will use the book to cast a summoning ritual to bring the Eternal Night to the world and get more powerful. Wellington makes a deal - he can help Alexander clean his name, but he should deliver him the book and leave Royal Corp. If Alexander doesn't take this deal, he will be in a lot of trouble. Alexander doesn't automatically decides, but listen to his rival. Wellington says he knows the Red Hand controls Fulton River District, and have some shipments, and even some of their labs are there. Wellington gets out of the mansion saying to Alexander to don't lose the opportunity.

Dexter talks with Regina Cruz, and says he and the Band can help her deal with the situation. As both are talking as Regina drives her car to meet the rest of the Band, the ground shakes, and an earthquake happens in Chicago, the most destructive, and somehow impossible. It destroy many buildings, streets, and kills many people putting the city in chaos. A generalized blackout happens too. Dexter calls the Band to reunite at Marquis of Carabás.

At the Marquis of Carabás, Regina explains to the Band that she was in debt with a local mafia boss and member of the Red Hand, Mark Andino. He collected her debt by asking her to steal the Codex Draco Rubrum from Ashley Alafousus. The Red Hand wants the book for some kind of magical ritual. Mark is also the owner of the Dragon Kiss nightclub.

Alexander calls Master Huang to talk to him about his half-brother. His master tells him that Wellington approached him before, driven with jealously because he was not chosen to be the Yellow Prince, and said he has a new master that can help him get more power, and he was going to get what is his right. Huang ask Alexander to somehow help his half-brother see that he is wrong, if he can. Alexander ask a favor for his master - to help give protection to Regina, and help with removing the curse from her brother.

At the same time, Balthasar contacts one of his acquaintances from his time in the streets, Corn Tooth, the old wolf of the streets, to discover what the Red Hand is planning, or if there are movements of criminal gangs in the city. Corn Tooth explains that he knows about some guys that are mobilizing some guns around the city as they speak. Rudek also calls Naion to say he knows that the local mafia are reuniting in a nightclub today, the Dragon Kiss. They closed the place, and will make a move, but he couldn't discover if they are going to attack another gang or not.

The Band returns to Saburou, and makes a deal with him. Alexander will release him if he helps them with muscle. The Band goes to the nightclub, trying to get there without drawing attention, but it didn't work. The men inside the nightclub loads their guns and prepare to deal with whatever the Band tries to do.

The Band storm the place with the aid of Saburou. They start fighting the goons of Mark Andino...
