Wraiths walk the spaces between life and death, unseen yet ever-present. They take the shape of what they observe, reflecting truths you cannot hide, and guide lost or wandering souls to where they must be.

Wraiths are Zeth's Primordial beings of balance, emissaries of the cosmos who maintain harmony across life, death, and the unfolding of reality. Unlike Angels, Archons, or Daemons, they are not bound to a single moral framework or whim—they do not preach, enforce, or tempt. Instead, they observe, guide, and correct imbalances wherever they arise. Wraiths also act as peacekeepers among the other Primordials, protecting the cosmic equilibrium.

A Wraith’s natural form is a dark, cloaked, hooded figure—blank, impartial, and universal. In this form, individual Wraiths are indistinguishable. When a Wraith is not actively guiding or governing, its shape becomes fluid, shifting to reflect the resonances around it. It may take the semblance of a dragon, Angel, Daemon, or human, subtly mirroring what it perceives. This form reflects the Wraith’s perception, which can be incomplete or flawed. When sensing multiple resonances at once, a Wraith may blur its shape, amalgamate forms, or revert to its grim-reaper appearance.

Wraiths are balance-enforcers. They ensure the smooth passage of souls, the correct sequencing of time and events, the coherence of identity, and the continuity of family, lineage, and legacy. Each Wraith has a domain—death, family, time, dreams, lost souls, or birth/fertility—that defines its focus, but all operate under the principle of systemic balance. They do not dominate mortals, but their influence subtly shifts outcomes, realigns identity, and guides choice.

Wraiths can project a mirror onto a nearby surface, providing a unique reflection of reality that reveals hidden truths, potential futures, or unseen consequences. Mortals see not what they wish to see, but what they need to confront in order to remain aligned with the natural order.

Where other Primordials embody virtues, sins, or whims, Wraiths embody balance itself. They exist to ensure that life, death, time, identity, and kinship flow as they should. In moments of chaos, stagnation, or confusion, Wraiths appear—not to control, but to restore, redirect, and remind the cosmos that everything has a place, and every soul has a path.
