Zeth

the Keeper of the Veil
Night falls, but the stars remain.

All things conclude.
All things transition.
No life lingers forever in one state.
The threshold is not an ending, but a turning.

Zeth governs death, fate, balance, dreams, and the moon. He is the custodian of thresholds. He does not hasten endings, nor does he delay them. He ensures that every life reaches its proper conclusion and that no soul lingers where it no longer belongs.

He appears cloaked in white, skeletal beneath the hood, great bat-like wings folded behind him. In his hand he carries a lantern. The lantern does not burn with flame. It burns with memory.

He measures breath. He counts not in numbers, but in completion. He does not judge worth. He evaluates continuity. When a life ends, it is not extinguished. It is transitioned. Zeth stands at that crossing and ensures the system remains intact.

Without him, there would be accumulation.
Without him, there would be stagnation.
Without him, there would be imbalance.
He does not comfort.
He does not condemn.
He ensures.
