Sississik is the City State of the Yuan-Ti. The Yuan-Ti are one of the few faithful people of the Great Lands. So much so that their leader is a heriditary cleric, Anointed Serpent Queen. Only certain family lines are able to even attempt to become the Anointed Serpent Queen. Each family maintained their own ziggurats, with complicated social structures and hierarchies. Many of the snake people wear complicated make up and tattoos to denote thier position in the hierarchy of their ziggurat. This is how many other species tell the Yuan-Ti apart, since many Yuan-Ti forgo clothes, since their homeland is so hot, and they lack secondary sexual characteristics.
