Overview

The Battle Queen has successfully courted and married the Throne Bound King. Now her armies of armored warriors march with arcane spells allied with them instead of turned upon them.

The City States of the Great Lands had been safe with the two warring kingdoms at each other’s throats. That has changed. The City States had lived in relatively peace for centuries, and had minor militaries for self defense. 

The Greatest and most powerful city state of the Yuan-Ti, Sississik, fell easily. The mages of the Throne Bound King overcame the clerics of the Anointed Serpent Queen with little to no difficulty. The Battle Queen’s legions trounced the strongest standing army in the Great Lands, after doing a forced march through the Jungle Lands.

While things have settled, many of the citizens of the City States think that it was an act of vengeance by the Battle Queen for her almost dying to Yaun-Ti snake arrows.

The snake people are spreading out across the Great Lands, refugees running from a war that they didn’t start, and didn’t choose. 

Where the prairie meets the plains is the garden city of Záhrada. By most measures, it’s a peaceful and cosmopolitan City State. The city council and the mayor can smell the fires of war on the air. They know that there isn’t a chosen one coming to save them. There is just the hard work of prepping an open and friendly city into a fortress. There’s already refugees from Sisissik, but eventually there will be more.
