Giffany is a densely forested region near the center of Chordas, surrounded by mountainous bluffs on all sides. It is home to the disciplined and prideful Giff, who are strictly isolationist and paranoid about strangers. They are governed by a stratocratic state headed by a military junta, who guard the borders obsessively and have built a massive army, prepared to go to war at the slightest provocation.
