One of many cities settled in the prosperous region of the Sangerian Valley, Miltonver became known as the central trading hub for supplying the war effort. It was geographically isolated, had a decently-sized population already, had easy access to the plentiful deposits of the Frigid Mountains, and it had multiple methods of transportation whether by lake ferry or river boat. Mined supplies would often be delivered to Miltonver, where it would be shipped elsewhere to be smelted and refined and crafted.
Because of its importance, many attempts at espionage and sabotage take place there. Coupled with frequent beast tribe takeovers of the mines, it's allowed for a convenient spot for many would-be adventurers to get their start.
