Fortune's Vanguard was exploring a courtyard within a 150' x 130'x structure who walls were thick and comprised of transmuted stone. Inside the snowy walls, numerous skeletal undead and a trapped front door had caused us to become afflicted with confusing poisons, and for numerous skeletal beings to investigate us. We gathered ourselves and regrouped after trying to destroy some of the skeletal beasts. We noticed there were numerous polished, mirrored surfaces on the external walls as we made our way inside.
Inside, we found a wall composed of many body parts, hiding as a normal part of any room. We were able to destroy it before any major casualties occurred, but the sight of it left us withered and weak. We gathered what we could, and destroyed a Dow on the way out.
We rested for a few days, from the 70th to 72nd, using 900gp diamond dust and Restoration to heal the permanent damage. On Chaos 73rd, 3467, the eve of New Years, we re-entered the facility under the protection of Hide from Undead (Greater). Xael led us around the perimeter, destroying more of the smaller skeletal beasts where we found them. We moved further inside, not setting off another gas trap. Inside, we found the place untouched - the Dow's remains still half-stuck in the ground. In an adjacent room, we discovered an enchanted book. Numerous formulae were on it, giving it protections against aging and weather. Cleis Frostclaw thumbed through it quickly, and we learned the following:

Gathering ourselves and figuring we shouldn't spend the remaining time of the Hide from Undead reading a book, we moved northward. Xael opened a doorway, revealing a strange toothed mass with many eye-tendrils coming from it... Another fight for our lives.
