Caretaker Woodsworth Moure floats while sitting crosslegged. A circle of small bowls filled with carefully measured incense catch on fire throughout his cast. Arranged as a set of 12 (as 1+2 = three, which is 5), his closed gaze would turn with his levitating form around the room slowly. For Three Days he would maintain his focus on his hums and emptying his thoughts. To beseech the world to speak about an unnecessary tragedy. His mind is in the distance - wandering an endless plane of a shifting, foggy labyrinth whose walls are countless books...following the hops of a pale, pure bunny.
Ripley rejoins the team after discovering enemies were maneuvering around her eastern battalion. She is called Commander by Byørno and immediately she sets up the eastern Stalagtite to explode if we so need it.
Two more days to survive before the spell is finished.
Milu Soma planned more illusory walls and worked with Cleis Frostclaw to cover Fortune's Vanguard with their magic.
J'ack Rameur fought spirits of the undead as Xael held the line against hundreds of kobold troops.
Torturous shouts of our allies being harmed and dying happened again; undead keen on shattering our psyche. Ripley caused a streak of lightning to come out of her gun!
They survived the second night at considerable cost, allies having taken damage and magic poured out. Cleis rested as walls were constructed to buy further time.
The final night was intense as clouds of skulls, massive kobolds constructed of many smaller kobolds, spirits, and endless troops swarmed at the encampment. Numerous heroic actions were taken, the Caretaker's fortifications and tent were ripped away, and people's personas were marred by the horde.
But with hope, luck, and enough time. The magic finished.
At the end of the foggy labyrinth... At least, a shelf where Caduceus guided him to. Caretaker Woodsworth kneels down, tugs out a book made of cloudy air, just nosed by his spirit guide. He sets it as a platform and sits crosslegged before the small bun. Twelve fires ignite around the two - the clouded library shifting its hallways to hide the duo in their own small walled chamber. Caduceus would speak the language of the divine; providing Legends that have NEVER been known.
The vessel learned:
- the hidden truths behind the Collapse of Udrodzid
- how the city was destroyed
- the goals of the destroyer
- why this happened
- where the dragon is now
- where the dragon was
He stands as his light peels away the realm of legends, stepping back into the world deceived. A new lesson learned. Knowing is its own curse, and soon the Vanguard will be bound more tightly.
Taking in the rocky encampment with time passed by so quickly... his allies are incredibly injured. And a single colloso-skeletal-kobold charges from the north.
