Onahur was named after her “grandmother”, a legendary warrior in her own right. Onahur is part of the Grimcutter family, a family shrouded in mystery for they have been involved in many stories for good or ill. Onahur dreamed of living up to her grandmother’s reputation but was never sure if she was destined for the same path. Her grandmother was strong, brave, and reckless. Though she shared her strength, Onahur was patient and had a relentless will that terrified others that caught her gaze.
Onahur has stated she had siblings, but the only two she has spoken of are her two evil younger brothers (no names have been said, but it has been insinuated that they may not be orcs.).
She started worshipping Irori early on as she learned how he worked to make himself into a god. She decided to try a different path than her siblings. She worked on becoming stronger, faster, smarter, and more skilled. She thought of Irori as a smith, working to forge her into a useful tool to fulfill whatever her destiny intended of her. Her brothers became a center point for her training as she grew up; mostly having to catch them to stop their plans from drawing too much attention to their home, or to bring them in for dinner. This caused her to focus her training on how to capture others alive.
When she was old enough, she left to start her search for her place in the world. However, on the very first night of her very first solo adventure, the inn she was staying at was blown up by another adventurer. She died in the blast. (this part may have changed)
Pharasma saw that the1re was something great in Onahur's future. Onahur’s actions could serve her and her realm: The Boneyard. Onahur would gain an inherent understanding of the cycle of life and death and deepen her respect for that cycle. This would push her towards fixing transgressions done against the boneyard. After a quick discussion, Pharasma decided to bring Onahur back from the dead.
Returning as a duskwalker, her 16-year-old body was replaced with a 6-year-old body. it was a big change, but not as big as the thoughts that raced through Onahur’s mind as she lay thinking on the cold granite mausoleum: she had been summoned back from the dead by Pharasma, to serve her. But what about her affiliation to her God Irori?
As she pondered it, she came to realize her place in the world. She was a weapon forged by Irori to make her who she was; however, it was Pharasma who chose to wield her. Who should she have more reverence for when both were such great gods and role models? Their methods and principles were quite similar, so she decided she would pray and give reverence to both and seek guidance equally. She would worship both her smith and wielder.
She made her way back home since continuing in her state would be problematic. Her younger brothers laughed (while they were conscious) after seeing her return. She had become a duskwalker, changing her skin from green to grey and she was granted the honorific "Greydawn". She now dedicated herself to improving her mind, body, and soul far more than she had before, taking care to improve herself with what she had learned the first time around. This time she was different than her previous self; taller, stronger, faster, and refined further. She would make sure she was ready for whatever Irori intended for her, and what Pharasma wanted of her. She is eager to try a solo adventure again - and hopefully not be blown up on the first day this time.
