Bjørn is the 3rd of 4 brothers from the Lands of the Linnorm Kings.
What sets him aside from his brothers is that his mother is a wood elf, although you would not know it due to his rounded ears.
Bjørn has never met his mother and never knew her name until he saw it flashed upon a scroll at the Midnight Mansion . He has one vague memory of his mother but he does not dwell on it. Coming from a purely Ulfen tribe Bjørns heritage was hidden from all but his brothers.
Bjørn was a natural ranger and his skills were apparent at a young age. His family was highly regarded among the tribe as loyal and fearsome warriors. When it was discovered that Bjørn was a half elf his family became outcasts from his tribe, however his brothers and father stayed by his side. Due to him being not of full Ulfen blood he often found himself fighting in the vanguard and always in the shield wall. Even Bjørn's father, Halvur Erikson, a well respected and high ranking member of the clan was outcast due to his adultery with Bjørn's true mother. Eventually Halvur was killed for it in-front of his sons when the chieftain came for his father one night unexpectedly with the full might of the clan.
Bjørn and his family did not go down easily beating back many men and women. When the chieftain made it clear he was here for only Halvur and his bastard son, Bjørn was told to escape into the darkness of night. Halvur surrendered on the conditions that his other sons would be free and stay within the clan. The night of the ceremony Bjørn attempted to rescue his father, but was too late, it had begun. Halvur did not have an honourable death, but the blood eagle ceremony. Bjørn watched in agony and pain as the drums beat heavily and the cold rain pierced his veins. Once the ritual was over and the clan had gone Bjørn put an axe into his fathers bloody hand so he might reach the afterlife as a warrior. Through tear filled eyes and clenched teeth Bjørn swore he would avenge his father and reunite with his brothers at all costs, then he ended his fathers suffering with one strike.
Bjørn has since been a bounty hunter to earn money. He has become a hero to some, a lover to many, and a killer to more. He has been unable to form a lasting bond with anyone, but has recently become aquatinted with a group of adventures that he doesn’t mind.
Some nights he is haunted by nightmares of his fathers death, though it only fuels him further to return to his village and exact his revenge.
