Halvur Erikson was the born into the Storm Clan, a pure Ulfen blood clan. He was raised to be a courageous and strong leader. From a young age he was clearly gifted in combat often besting his opponents through pure skill and brute strength.
He quickly became a highly respected warrior within his clan and soon he would lead on the battlefield by his 20th year. While this helped him quickly rise through his clan he did not desire power nor the titles that come with it.
He would eventually marry a shield maiden named Astrid by age 22, and by 28 he had 4 sons. Cjørn, Hjørn, Pjørn, and Bjørn.
Unbeknownst to his clan, his son Bjørn was born from a non Ulfen woman, Tilda a wood elf. As honorable as Halvur was, he could not deny he had not truly known love until he met Tilda. Once his adultery had been discovered his family was outcast and shamed by the chieftain of the tribe. While he and his sons were still utilized in combat he was often fighting beside Bjørn who was unprotected in the shield wall. His children were very much like their father as Astrid had passed shortly after Pjørn's birth. They were each skilled in their own ways, and all loved and cared for each other placing family above all else.
After years of tolerating a non pure Ulfen clan the chieftain could stand it no more after Bjorn very clearly bested his son in combat during a combat ritual performed in the clan each year. Even though the battle was one fought with honor it would seal the fate of Halvur and his son.
Later that night the chieftain marched on Halvur's home bringing the full power of the clan against the 5 warriors. Halvur and his sons fought bravely and boldly holding back the clan for what felt like hours. When the chieftain made it clear he was here for only Halvur and his bastard son, Bjørn was told to escape into the darkness of night. Halvur surrendered on the conditions that his other sons would be free and stay within the clan.
Halvur was kept in shackles for a brief time as they prepared to execute him. When he walked out towards the execution stage he did not cry or beg, he remained somber. As his arms were tied to the posts he could see his three sons that were on their knees before him all made to watch what was about to come. He told them "I'm sorry I have put us into this position, do not forget what I have taught you all. Strength, courage, and Honor. I love you all and I am so proud of my boys" He looked up into the forest behind them almost knowing Bjørn would be there "All my sons"
He then was subjected to the Blood Eagle ritual. He was kept alive for hours through this painful process. Long enough for the ritual to end and the clan return to their homes. He was in and out of consciousness when Bjørn arrived. He could hear his son, but not reply, only draw labored breaths. Bjørn Placed a hatchet in his fathers hand, and then ended his suffering.
