Farmer
Alternatively: Crop Farmer, Farm Hand, Vegetable Gardener, Dairy Farmer, Pig Farmer, etc.
Farmers rise and set with the sun, following the seasonal rhythms as they try to pull nourishment out of the ground in a constant dance with nature. The particular work that farmers do depends largely on where they are from and what kinds of crop or livestock they are raising - it can range from coffee beans in Arathia to wheat in Haldoor, from rice in Yuyake to root vegetables in the Wild Steppe. They tend to grow as much as they need to provide for their family, and additionally what they are required to grow in order to pay the local taxes or contribute to their liege lord's granaries. As such, they work extremely hard in a few short periods of the year, and tend to spend other large stretches of the year relaxing and spending time with family.
Farmers might look to a career of adventuring in order to escape the endless toil of subsistence farming, and find something bigger and better to contribute to. Their experience as a farmer should allow them to start with a knowledge of the land and how it works, as well as a keen insight for natural cycles.
