Bear-ward
Alternatively: Animal Tamer.
Bear-wards are folks who live out on the frontier, attempting to capture or coax bears, tame them to whatever extent possible, and train them to perform some sort of task, often for the entertainment of nobles or for other applications, such as in the military. Bear-wards tend to pass their profession through family lineages, but their job is both highly dangerous, and often doesn't pay particularly well depending on how successful they are in a given season.
Bear-wards are halfway to the life of an adventurer, and in many ways are tougher than the average adventurer to begin with. If they can wrestle a bear, they can kill a kobold. Adventurers who used to be professional bear-wards tend to still keep one of their animals with them from their old life, but as a companion rather than to be sold. They might also tend to push the party towards quests that involve dealing with dangerous animals, since its right up their alley.
Animal Wrestling: While your specialty is with bears and large animals in particular, you can apply your skill at wrestling and taming animals to other animals in general. When encountering a hostile Beast, you can, as an action, perform a bestial call which draws the creature into a duel with you. If this happens, you fight it one-on-one, dealing non-lethal damage with all non-spell attacks, even if they would normally not be, and as long as you do keep locked in this one-on-one duel, you gain resistance to all damage dealt by the Beast to you. If you can knock the Beast to 0hp, instead of becoming unconscious, the Beast temporarily submits to you. You may make an Animal Handling check (the DC of this check is 12 + the Beast's CR), and upon a success you convince the Beast to be friendly to you, and you may even begin to train and care for the creature if you wish. If you fail, the Beast runs away from you into the wilderness.
If you choose Bear-ward, you gain the following:
~Either a +1 to your Wisdom score or a +1 to your Strength score~
~A Skill Proficiency in either Animal Handling or Athletics~
~A Tool Proficiency with any Musical Instrument (for training the animals)~
~The following items: A baby black bear, a basket of berries, a jar of honey, a papoose, and a belt pouch with 10sp~
