The Mackinac Island Parliament has been around for over a hundred years. It has been a small, dedicated group, made up mostly of the cats that live on the island.
Parliament Rules

- Never sacrifice a sapient being to power your magic

Neutral Ground for Parliament Meetings
The Parliament meets at the Great Turtle Park. Meetings are usually held at night. Cat owners have been 'conditioned' to give their cats access to come and go as they please, though accidents do happen, and its not unusual for cats to playfully interfere with another cat's ability to get in and out.
Leadership
Snowy Moon is considered one of the wisest cats in the parliament, and is generally regarded as a capable, if distracted leader. A powerful Namer and Seeker, she knows the true names of some of the most horrible of the abominations of the Island, and with those names and the power of the parliament, keeps them in check.
Membership
The Parliament is currently at 30 cats, with 10-15 seasonal cats. Most cats are in the 'domestic' colony, with 10-12 'free cats'. Most disputes are around ferals not doing their share or ferals feeling bossed around. Most of the complaints are just grumbling and rightfully ignored by Snowy Moon.
