Long Claw is the head of the Those that Suffer the Land cats on Mackinaw Island. Proud that he has no 'given name', Long Claw likes to roughhouse and play around, although like any other cat, his play is in earnest. He keeps a tight rein on who he considers "his" Awesiinyag and is a staunch ally.
Despite his status, he like other cats, have a burden. Those burdens happen to be the hikers and bikers of Silver Ford.
