Narsus, the God of Beauty, was stolen away by Queen Calliope of Aresia a few hundred years ago.
Before this, Narsus has challenged anyone that wished to marry him to kill a white stag. Echo, an Oread huntress, was in love with him and spent many years trying to hunt down this elusive beast. Finally, after many years, she was successful but, by that time, Queen Calliope had already spirited Narsus away. In retaliation, Echo led Mytros in a war against Aresia: and this was the start of the Aresian Campaigns.
