As they make their way down the ship, and reach the lower deck, Xan immediately spots the same box as before in the back deck. As she sneaks back into the room, underneath a hammock with a body within it, she carefully opens the box - this time it flings open. A swirling black mass rushes forth, and behind her, between her and the Chosen she sees three large ghost-like hacked up gygans. Whoops.
She screams out a string of obscenities, and attacks. Her party, not far from the battle, joins the fight, but they are not prepared and are very much thinking on their feet. As Helikaon walks into the room and swipes at the two large gygans with his magical weapons, Xan thinks “I’ve gotta get me one of those magical weapons.” Helikaon swipes them down with ears, and a rush of familiarity brings joy to Xan, a smile beams across her face. Calliope runs into the room, joining Xan’s side. “What happened!?”
Xan waves towards the box on the ground. “The box! It made gygans!”
They battle on, and just as they seem to have taken down two of them a wind rushes from the box. Xan and Calliope are suddenly surrounded by some spectres of Amazons, with creepy eye sockets. The hooded figure in the hammock shouts out to them, telling them they were victims of Estor and the crew and must be put to rest. They make further attempts to battle the monsters leaping further from this mysterious box.

Maybe they can close it? Xan reaches down to the base of where the Amazon stands, and after trying to shake the box to pick it up unsuccessfully, she slams it shut. As she does, the Amazon ghost swipes down at her, hitting her on the middle of her back. It hurts, but she is not thrown out of place as she holds the box steadily.
The ghostly bird floats through the room, angry that they have closed the box. He accuses them of not being serious about freeing the ghosts, despite their protests.
As Xan stands she places her foot on the box, keeping it closed, and tries to hit the figure in front of her. It seems that Calliope's magical whisperings are much more effective in this instance, and she talks it into fading away, willing it to rest.
Metron swoops back into the room and takes off his hood, showing a horrifying face missing the bottom half of his jaw. The party are lucky to not be impacted by this horrific image - Xan whispers gently, imitating Calliope “It’s time to rest?” but she suspects there’s something magical she has that Xan, unfortunately, does not.
They finally defeat the ghosts, Xan leaving Calliope to deal with the cloaked monster and rips the final Centaur to pieces. Helikaon sweeps across the floor right up to the Thane and through some sort of combination between him and Calliope, they destroy him into nothingness.
After the battle, Braz approaches Xan and requests for warning before she opens another box or rushes into a fight, or at least yells before she does something like that again. She reluctantly agrees, despite still being of the belief they are still in a dream world, so nothing much is of consequence.
Braz hovers over the box and waves a hand, finding a keyword that activates the ghost prison.
As they move around and down the middle of the ship, Xan addresses Calliope, saying she seems to be a good fighter and that she is impressed with the fight she has put up with Helikaon and Xan. As they walk, Xan communicates at a quick pace with the team that she was so happy to be fighting with a crew. Helikaon hands a Xiphos sword over to Xan and she gleefully accepts it.
They reach the end of the corridor, and Xan spots the box of coins. She recognises Braz’s advice, and points to it, indicating to the Chosen she will not be opening it.
