Session 145 - “It’s a dragon…”
As the dragon reaches up to the sky in a glorious pose, Xan throws herself to the ground as to fool him, discreetly pulling out her shortbow of cupidity in case the dragon decides to turn on them. As she curls up, loading the bow she considers the implications of him switching to a more aggressive stance.
The party is frozen in place until the dragon whps its wings and sents Hipofilius flying to the ground. Only then a smirk darts across Xan’s face and she shoots the bow at the dragon. It hits, charming the beast to Xan’s will. But the dragon flies up to Hipofilius and flies even higher in the sky. Calliope shouts up to him “maybe you should just… sleep” The dragon takes a second but it doesn’t take hold.
Chondrus sends out green ribbons of energy into Helios.
Xan shouts up to Helios reminding him of his precious island residents, his cyclops and elephants and how he is bringing harm to them here. Helios argues back, but seems distracted enough for Xan to launch a dorata into his body. It hits him and he winces in pain, swinging his tail out and hitting the little dragon Calico from the sky. Hipofilius grabs the little dragon and feeds it the healing postion it was clinging on to. Hipofilius shifts form and become a small Jancan, reaching out to Helios and begging him to stop. Helios rejects it.
“I am doing this that our children are not drafted into a war!”
The dragon flies down and lands on top of Xan, swiping and clawing at her and ripping away at her skin.
Other attacks come, Chondrus reaches out to cast spells, Calliope and Calico move in sync and Pholon gallops over to Xan shouting for her to jump on his back.
Before she can answer a screech comes from the skies, a red rage screaming across the skies.
