Some believe Jergal may have been the very first being, and that his ultimate goal is to be the last. Others insist that this is only confusing Jergal with another entity — the felled titan Agra Antima.
Jergal was once a revered god, the recorder of all names and the guarantee that each soul would be known. Still, he was not kind. He was not benevolent. He sought to hasten the end of all life. He played patron to necromancers, as the soulless undead were the finest servants to his cause, and once even allied himself with Unknown.
Since the ascension of The Raven Queen, Jergal's influence has faded, and now he who once stood among the prime pantheon only exists as a dying spark. The few followers he retains are all that keep him from fading entirely.
