Su-an Toan

A small nation resting on the eastern coast of Asuvia, kept somewhat isolated by the barriers of deserts and mountains, as well as the pervasive zones that sit between Su-an Toan and Quyan. It is a lush, tropical region, interspersed with many rivers and lakes.

Su-an Toan is believed to be the birthplace of both Bladesinging and Blood Hunting — the latter of which was developed by the infamous Shallow Heart.

Foreign Relations

Su-an Toan had a policy of extreme isolationism due to their long-standing necrocracy. Today, they still keep out of foreign affairs, opening only for the sake of trade. They primarily deal with the city states of the nearby desert, traveling via airship, as well as Tawashi by sea.

The Necrocracy

Su-an Toan was once kept under a strict dictatorship. The same ruler, Qui Kieu, was kept in power for nearly two thousand years as she transferred her soul between bodies after death. It is only within approximately the last two centuries that she was unseated. In her absence, a new system was developed: the The Linh Thiêng Council. With this, they still consult their exalted dead while allowing themselves to progress into the future.
