Vu Gian

Appearance:
Vu Gian is a dark-skinned elvan man with shaggy, black hair tied back into a short ponytail. He is typically seen wearing a hat similar to Vic's and tends to toss on whichever clothes are the cleanest, especially when setting out to work. He has simple tattoos on various parts of his body, mostly depicting natural imagery, but he also has a piece with a tortoise and fireflies as an ode to Unknown Chet, a tattoo he got after marrying Vu Trinh.

Personality:
Gian is a very friendly man, overly willing to lend a hand to anyone or anything who needs help. The tendency has more than gotten him in trouble before, especially in cases of bringing home injured, less-than-safe animals. He has a joke for every situation and is always dedicated to keeping spirits high. Gian is a man who can be easily brought to a halt by events harder to reconcile into a happier life.

History:
Gian has spent his whole life in the small fishing village he calls home. The most he has seen of the world has been trips to market in other ares of So-an Toan.

Vu Gian was the person to initially find Vic'tel Vianrodeth (Chim) on a river bank at the edges of the Voiceless Desert. He didn't hesitate to collect Vic onto his boat and return home, though received no little concern and scolding from Trinh for going out so far.

In Vic's time in the village, Gian was critical in teaching him basic survival skills he'd never had to consider in his previous life. Gian taught him the full process of fishing, brought him to market with him, and was deeply welcoming to the new world the surface provided for Vic.
