While some Humans became Elves due to Fae blood, others lived in harsh lands full of all manner of savage beast. In order to survive they developed magic, no longer fully understood, that allowed them to take in the power of the beasts they slay in a ritual. At seemingly no adverse effect whole tribes imbued themselves with this primal power, gaining strength and agility beyond that of their kin. Yet, the power did come at a price, as a new generation was born, their souls already imbued with the beasts essences, their bodies appeared no longer Human, instead they were covered in fur with many other features similar to whichever beast's power most strongly manifested in them.

So were born the first Beastfolk, as there was no way to undo the ritual, all it took was a generation for all of a tribe to no longer seem Human. While the power of the beasts is finite, and a child of a Beastfolk and Human would have diminished beastial features, they never truly disappear and oftentimes appear suddenly from even but a drop of Beastfolk blood.

  • Diverse: Beastfolk may swap their Brawn and Agility or Cunning score during character creation.

  • Natural Weapons: Many Beastfolk possess natural weapons they may use for combat using the following profile: (Brawl; Damage +1; Critical 3; Range [Engaged]; Vicious 1)
  • Fleet: Beastfolk can perform a second manoeuvre to move without suffering strain. They still cannot exceed the limitation of two manoeuvres in a turn.
