Flame's Wake

As the dwarves of The Forge dug deeper and deeper they eventually encountered an enormous chamber deep within the earth. Within slumbered a great dragon, the largest red dragon to have ever been seen. To this day it is only known as Haz Vara, "Doom of Flames". The beast, awakened from its slumber, full of hunger and rage, ravaged through the mountains straight into the dwarven hold. As the dwarves rallied and attempted to slay the beast the very mountain shook as the foundations of the hold cracked under their feet. Perhaps none would have lived to tell that tale, had the beast not been weakened from its long slumber and lack of food. Eventually the dragon was slain, but not before more than two-thirds of the hold lay in ruin, with much of the rest sitting on precariously damaged foundation.
