The siege of Vistaden, laid by the forces of Arlak the Despoiler under the command of Orson the Insane. It lasted for over a year, but was defined by three dawns.
The first dawn when the men on Vistaden held off the initial assault, dark magics scarring the walls of the city.
The second dawn when, months later, Orson unleashed terrifying darkness upon the city, sapping the defender's strength. The following assault would have broken the city were it not for the reinforcements from Griffinnook arriving to strike at the rear of the sieging troops, breaking the assault but not the siege.
The third dawn when, on the eve of the siege's anniversary, news of Arlak defeat and death arrived the besiegers wavered, many abandoning the horde. Soon the defenders mounted an assault striking the demoralised enemy, scattering them. The lord of Covenstor himself slew Orson in a magical duel.
